Born and bred in Wollongong NSW the only overseas country that I had traveled to was Bali so when my husband was offered a job in Vietnam for 12 months we jumped at the opportunity. We loved Bali and thought the 2 would be very similar.
We relocated to Vietnam in November 2004 and were lucky enough to have lived there for 4 ½ years. Sadly we had to say goodbye to Vietnam in 2009 as my husband received yet another fantastic job opportunity in Melbourne. As a comparison, I have not been interested in returning to Bali since our time in Vietnam.

We settled quite well in Melbourne, husband very busy and kids doing well at school. When the subject arose about what I was going to do for work, I had trouble finding something that I was very passionate about but then I had this fantastic idea of putting my experience and knowledge of the shopping and pampering in Vietnam to good use and share with others.
When I meet someone new and we get chatting about living in Vietnam they are all very interested in my experiences and all have said that its a place they would love to visit someday but just not sure of what to expect or where to eat and are a little nervous about Vietnam. This got me thinking about how I could share this country and what it has to offer for the girls. I recently took one girl friend to Vietnam as she was in need of some R&R. She absolutely loved it.
What I really have to offer is a shopping and pampering trip with the chance to see just how beautiful the people are and how amazing the food and shopping is. It’s an opportunity to take away any previous worries or concerns you have about Vietnam and perhaps visit again with your families and truly explore the beauty of Vietnam.

During our time in Vietnam we had many visitors, family and friends, from Australia who, before us living there, would never have dreamed of it as a holiday destination. There was nothing I enjoyed more than to share this beautiful, untouched and not so commercialized country with them.
